About
About Reel North and how we review casinos
Affiliate disclosure
Reel North is an independent review site. We earn a commission from the V.Partners affiliate programme when a reader opens an account through some of our links. Commission rates never affect our scores, our rankings or what we say about a casino's drawbacks, and we publish weaknesses for every casino we list.
Who our casino pages are for
Our casino reviews are for adults in Canada outside Ontario and Alberta. Casino links are geo-restricted: visitors from other countries, and readers who tell us they're in Ontario or Alberta, are not sent to any casino. Our strategy and safer-gambling guides are free for everyone.
How we score
| Category | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Game range | Library size, studios, live dealer quality, published RTPs |
| Banking and CAD | CAD balance, Canadian payment methods, verification and payout process |
| Bonus fairness | Wagering multiplier, weighting, max bet, expiry, clarity of terms |
| Track record | Years operating, licence history, public complaint patterns |
| Safer gambling tools | Deposit and time limits, cooling-off, self-exclusion, reality checks |
Scores are editorial judgements out of 5 and are reviewed when offers or terms change.
